I graduated from UC Davis in the spring of 2013 with a Bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies. For Fall 2013 I was accepted into a Master’s program in Religious Studies at Claremont Graduate University in southern California. I am currently in my second year in the Religious Studies program, and I plan to pursue a PhD in Religious Studies. Religion is all-encompassing and the academic study of religion is interdisciplinary, allowing me to engage in a variety of disciplines like history, sociology, psychology and philosophy. I have the UC Davis Religious Studies program and its amazing professors to thank for introducing me to an area of study that I not only enjoy, but desire to go further in. The Religious Studies faculty peaked my curiosity, shifted my perspective, broadened my horizons, and left a lasting impression upon me that will certainly stick with me throughout the rest of my life.
